Proof · Skills & track record

Show,
don't tell.

A skills list is a claim. This is the evidence — problem, approach, outcome. And one fact no résumé captures: single-handed, I've built what most companies need whole teams, years and funding to attempt.

The whole stack of a person

01

Storytelling & Speaking

I make silicon-to-cortex complexity land with a board, an investor or a room — in plain language, in one sitting. Every keynote is bespoke: curated for that audience and topic, never recycled, with original material built for the room.

02

Management & Leadership

Led 30+ delivery teams and a $100M programme; hired, mentored and shipped under real deadlines, in regulated industries, with real consequences.

03

Technical Ability

Hands-on from the kernel up — 1.4M lines, Rust, eBPF, 29-microservice platforms. Senior, and still writing the code, not just the slides.

04

Maturity

Desert Storm at twenty, boardrooms at fifty. I know when to push, when to wait, and how to stay calm when it is expensive not to.

The proof

Problem → approach → outcome.

01

AnPost Money — national payments platform

Chief Architect · IFX International (Ireland’s national postal bank) · 2016–2018

Problem

A national financial-services arm needed a modern, secure, full-stack payments platform — high-volume, heavily regulated, with no margin for error.

Approach

As Chief Architect I designed it end to end — a full-stack Kubernetes payments platform and gateway across microservices, integration, security, settlement and regulatory compliance.

Outcome

Shipped at national scale — built for circa €30M, and sold in 2022 for €168M.

02

Swiss-bank modernisation

Director, Technology & Solution Architecture · Cognizant · 2018–2021

Problem

A major Swiss bank needed cloud and digital transformation across a complex legacy estate, on a programme where delivery risk was real.

Approach

I led a $100M programme and 30+ delivery teams — architectural blueprints, cloud target-state, integration patterns, and the governance to land them.

Outcome

Delivered the transformation with material client cost savings.

03

Silo — AI-native security

Founder & Architect · 2024–present

Problem

Hundreds of thousands of AI agents now run in production with direct access to critical systems — and no security product can detect a compromised or rogue one.

Approach

I architected and built a five-layer defence from silicon to cloud — 1.4M lines (largely Rust), eBPF/LSM kernel instrumentation, behavioural ML, and autonomous response, with unforgeable cross-layer detection.

Outcome

>90% detection at <1% false positives, sub-100ms rootkit detection, live across Linux, Windows and macOS — a new security category.

04

Bertha — Agency OS

Founder & Chief Product Architect · 2022–present · AWS-sponsored

Problem

Agencies need the reach and rigour of a full marketing organisation — without the headcount or the disconnected tool sprawl.

Approach

I built a 29-microservice Agency OS on a patent-filed stack — CRM mining, multi-LLM smart routing, creative generation, omnichannel placement and enterprise security — on a Terraform-managed AWS/EKS estate.

Outcome

On-brand campaigns 10× faster; multi-tenant and SOC 2-grade; three years of engineering, AWS-sponsored.

05

Fraud & bad-actor detection

Associate Technical Architect · BAE Systems Applied Intelligence · 2015

Problem

Government and financial-services programmes needed to identify bad actors and fraud at scale, across regulated data.

Approach

I built client-profiling, predictive behavioural-analysis and fraud-detection pipelines on big-data and ML infrastructure, inside strict compliance constraints.

Outcome

Predictive bad-actor identification and fraud detection running on regulated infrastructure.

HP Superdome · Intel Itanium

Kernel & architecture · HP / Microsoft / Oracle joint venture · early 2000s

Problem

A joint venture set out to build one of the fastest computers on earth on the Itanium architecture — at the limits of operating-system and hardware design.

Approach

I worked on the kernel and architecture teams — operating-system and hardware-software co-design at the metal.

Outcome

HP Superdome — briefly the fastest computer in the world.
