MiFamilias
Social media forgot who matters most.
MiFamilias inverts social media. Where every other platform starts with everyone and works inward, MiFamilias starts with family, extends to trusted people, then communities, then everything else. It is less a product than a thesis: what if a social network were designed around trust instead of engagement?
The Moonshot
Most of this portfolio solves a workflow problem. MiFamilias is the one that attempts a societal one — which is exactly why it carries the most long-term upside. If it works, it could become a standalone, category-defining company.
The inversion
Facebook starts with everyone, then friends, then — maybe — family. MiFamilias runs the pyramid upside down:
Family → Trusted people → Communities → Everything else.
That is not a feature difference. It is a different philosophy of what a network is for. The innovation isn’t the social network — it’s the inversion.
Why it matters now
MiFamilias sits at the intersection of four structural shifts: social-media fatigue, child-safety regulation, AI governance for families, and digital legacy. Each is enormous on its own. Together they describe a world that wants exactly what MiFamilias is building.
The new advertising model
Existing advertising watches everything, profiles everyone, and targets continuously. MiFamilias asks first, lets the user opt in, time-limits the ad, and puts relevance under user control. The new measure isn’t impressions — it’s Intent Quality. That’s not a feature. It’s potentially a new advertising model.
Built to outlive you
The promise of 50+ years isn’t a slogan — it’s funded. MiFamilias is built around a trust-fund endowment model that underwrites long-term storage on tiered infrastructure (from standard storage down to deep archive at cents per year), so a family’s memories persist for generations — with inheritance flows for when an account holder is gone. Most platforms promise permanence; this one has a financial model that pays for it.
Built, not slideware
Behind the vision is a serious platform — a serverless AWS architecture (Lambda, DynamoDB single-table design, S3 and CloudFront, MediaConvert, EventBridge, Cognito) with 220+ API routes across 18 microservices and complete native Apple (iOS) and Google (Android) apps alongside web. Time-locks are enforced server-side, so content URLs are only signed once the unlock date passes — the lock is unforgeable, not a client setting. Member removal is consensus-based and scales with family size. The Transcend AI-legacy system runs across 41 routes with voice and avatar integration. A 43-issue security audit has been completed with all critical and high findings remediated.
